Sources and References Policy
Sources and References Policy
1. Purpose
This policy ensures that all manuscripts submitted to the Qurina Scientific Journal maintain scholarly integrity by properly citing and acknowledging all sources of information, data, and ideas used in the research.
2. Citation Standards
2.1 Authors must provide complete and accurate references for all materials cited in the manuscript, including journal articles, books, reports, websites, and datasets.
2.2 The Qurina Scientific Journal follows the APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style, unless otherwise specified by the editorial board.
2.3 All in-text citations must correspond precisely to entries in the reference list, and vice versa.
3. Originality and Attribution
3.1 Proper acknowledgment of others’ work is essential. Authors must not present another researcher’s ideas, data, or text as their own.
3.2 Direct quotations should be clearly identified and cited accurately.
3.3 Authors are responsible for verifying the accuracy and validity of all references before submission.
4. Use of Secondary Sources
4.1 When citing a secondary source, authors should make every effort to consult the original material.
4.2 Excessive reliance on secondary or tertiary citations is discouraged, as it may weaken the academic quality of the manuscript.
5. Reference Integrity
5.1 References must be current, relevant, and directly related to the topic of the paper.
5.2 Self-citation should be limited to what is necessary and relevant to the current study.
5.3 The editorial team reserves the right to request verification or copies of cited materials when necessary.
6. Plagiarism and Misuse of Sources
Failure to properly acknowledge sources may be treated as plagiarism and will be handled according to the Journal’s Plagiarism Policy and Publication Ethics Policy.
7. Compliance
All authors must comply with this policy as a condition of publication. Manuscripts that fail to meet citation and referencing standards may be returned for revision or rejected.
